We will meet you at hotel at 9.00am then head to Hoa Lo prison ( better known as Hanoi Hilton by American pilots during Vietnam War). Hoa Lo Prison was built by the French to imprison Vietnamese patriots during the 1st Indochina Wa , and later the down U.S pilots during the Vietnam War. The small part of the complex remaining is now a museum which tells you a part of Vietnam’s conflicts history. The next stop is Vietnam Military History Museum. At this museum, you will find the expected displays inside the building on the long history of Vietnam's military. Outside the building is an impressive collection of the military refuse of Vietnam's former foes, some from the French but mostly from the Americans. The most striking is a kind of memorial assembled from bomber wreckages. We close the day with a visit to Huu Tiep Pond or also known as B-52 Lake in Ngoc Ha village where a part of Bomber 52 was shot down during the Christmas bombing in 1972.
The tour finishes at around 3.00pm.
