PARADISE CAVE - SWIMMING IN TRA ANG RIVER CAVE

This day tour covers the spectacular Paradise cave, a must-see cave in Phong Nha National Park, historical 8 Lady cave where 8 North Vietnamese Youth Volunteers were trapped during an Amercan bombing and Tra Ang river cave - the hightlight of this day tour. We would have a short trek through the jungle and swim in the cool waters of Tra Ang cave.
08:00 Meet you up at your hotel in Dong Hoi or Phong Nha and depart for Paradise cave
09:00 Arrive at Paradise cave
09:00 -11:00 Explore the spatacular stalagmites and stalagtitles of the giant Paradise cave. 
11:00 Drive on the starting point of one of the main branches of the  Ho Chi Minh Trail - Route 20 to visit the historical sight of the war; Eight Lady Cave where 8 North Vietnamse youth volunteers were burried alive inside a cave collapsed by an American air raid.
11:15 – 12:20 Visit Eight Lady Cave
12:30- 13:00 Start trekking into the jungle to reach Tra Ang cave ( well-hidden bomb craters are visible along the trail )
13:00 Have the lunch break by a stream outside Tra Ang cave
14:00 Swim into Tra Ang cave to explore 600m Tra Ang cave
16:00 Trek back to Route 20. Enjoy a cold beer before returning to your hotel. End of the tour.

The trip is considered easy for anyone who is physically active, familiar to outdoor ac-tivities and basic trekking experienced. It is also a perfect option for family adventure.
- 2.5km trekking through thick jungle
- 600m swimming in the cave ( optional and due to weather permit )
Please prepare
• 1 long easy-to-dry pants and 1 long sleeved shirt to wear during the trek ( highly recommend to avoid leeches and poison ivies )
• Swim suites
• 1 pair of trekking boots/shoes ( Please prepare to get wet or we provide basic canvas shoes )
• Water proof bag for your phone and camera
• 1 pair of calf-length densely woven socks ( not ankle socks )
• Personal items: mosquito repellents, sun - glasses, hats and cameras
